LO1: Marketing And Distribution methods

Marketing is the way we make our audience aware of the product we have made, this is also known as advertising.
1.Posters/Billboards (traditional , below the line advertising)
2.Social Media (free, feedback from audience - digital natives)
3.Leaflets and handouts

Distribution is how a company gets its products to their target audience, there are many different distribution channels depending on the type of product you are selling.

1. hard copies at local venues eg: leadmill, o2 sheffield, showroom, plug , corp
2. Ezine - magazines only available online with small numbers of hard copies - allows you instant access to your audience enables them to distribute it to others

Advertising Rates - how much a magazine charges advertisers to advertise in a magazine

Things that need to be considered with advertising rates

- The size of the advertisement
- The relevance of the advert
- Region/ type of magazine (bigger readership)
- Quality of the paper the advert is on
- Where the advert is in the magazine (front, middle, back)
- Graphic designer fees

- Advertising rates
- What the magazine is about
